It was designed based on grotesque typefaces' tradition with a unique touch to give the typeface its own personality. It has large x-height, generous width, almost consistent monoline look on all weights and the most noticeable part is the unique terminal form of lowercase 'f', 'j', 'r', and 'y' which have straight horizontal side and curved line in the other side. Genera has its twin brother which has additional Alt on its name which stands for Alternate.The alternate glyphs letterform was influenced by Futura with its simple geometric form, which make this Alt version less legible than the basic one and makes it suitable for display purposes.
